Another Hollywood **** fest.

 

Much like The Desolation of Smaug, which became the desolation of Tolkien.

 

Oh I'm cure the CGI and action will be awesome, but still do they have to do that every time?

I agree, it will not follow the novels but it would be impossible to do so without a series of 3-4 hour movies and the public would not buy into that franchise. I will still go see it...I have already set my expectations for it to be a great movie that does NOT follow the books very close

 

I suspect they will do what they always do; concentrate on the violence and throw some sex in (NTTAWW sex!). Roland's back story was one of the best parts of the book.


I'll see it on video.

 

Honestly, they would have to make a series on Netflix to actually cover the whole Dark Tower saga. And it would be 2 seasons, at least.

Kind of like very attempt ever made to do a movie based on Dune. They all sucked.
