Greg, did you make it around the battlefield when you were here?
I like this picture from the Gettysburg address site.

It was raining this morning when we got to the museum but quit while we were in there.
Evening Dave!
Evening Dave!
Hey, Dave!
Yes, Russ, I did. I got the map and did a self-guided tour. I missed the turn for that site.

I think anybody that understood the carnage that the civil war brought to this nation would shed a tear, sometimes this nation and world is freaking insane with stupidity.

Earlier this evening my son & I were discussing, 'The Shot Heard Round the World'. & 'Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes'. Lexington Green. Concord Bridge. Bunker Hill.
One interesting note is that the battle of Lexington was a British victory but delayed the British forces which allowed more Colonists to gather at Concord.
'Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes'. It’s still debatable which American officer said this, if anyone. Some sources credit Gen. Israel Putnam of Connecticut, some Col. William Prescott of Massachusetts.
The bravery & audacity & the "FU we ain't takin that ****" attitude of this rag-tag bunch of farmers brought a tear to my eye. (& I had not been drinking). lol
Tracey was referring to 'Ol' Blue', being a male. Can't hardly call a female, 'Ol' Blue'.
