Not on this window. We plan on doing a re model in the future. Just got a cheap Home Depot window for $119. The rest of the house has retrofit Milgaurd windows.

A custom fit window wood have been $175 and a month long wait.

No. I had to add wood to make the opening 35 1/2 square. All the other windows had a nice redwood opening and 8" sill. Those got custom fit windows.

I wouldn't know where to begin on that. And then the fear of the impending disaster awaiting when I get the old one out.

It's not that bad. Was cool pulling the old weights out of the frames. I had no idea what I was doing when I changed them out but the heat savings was worth it we still do not have insulation in the walls though. Makes a huge difference in the winter.

Once you remove the window you take the measurements and subtract 1/4". It was about $250 for a window back then. Now it's about$500 a window. Glad I only have 14 windows.

All the windows in our place were changed out about 12 years ago. Gloria had it done when I was on "Exile Island."
