Saw that thread, Larry. Reminded me of a story from my youth. Bought a ski boat. Ran out of gas. Grabbed a rope, hooked on to the front and walked in waist deep water about 3 miles back to the launch ramp. Never occurred to me to use the switch to draw from the other gas tank. Duh!

To pour salt in the wound when I got to my trailer someone had stolen the rear tie downs off the trailer. My bad for leaving them on there but I don't steal and I was naïve enough to think others would be the same.
