I was on the express way for about 60 miles. I got the cruise set at 75 , guy in a car passes me on the left doing 100+ ? I think my heart stopped for a second !

When they're moving that fast, it's hard to judge where they are, and all of a sudden, they're right on top of you, Chuck.

I'm always checking my mirrors, I never saw this guy coming, that's what scared the hell outta me!

Wait. You guys use brakes?


Dan, I don't know what pads I had put on Ol' Blue last time, but I'm getting about 15,000 miles out of a set. Of course I do use my transmission a lot for slowing down and don't ride the brake much. I had a buddy that was always pulling in the clutch and using the brake way ahead of a stop instead of gearing down. He went through 'em pretty quick..

I have been thinking of seeing how my hog is around here. Tread softly and see how it is. It wood be nice to have a group to ride with once in a while. It would possibly get lesley into riding more possibly too..

Tracy, I do both. Gear down and brakes toward the end. The front brake is rock solid. Mayne the pads I got are more of a soft blend. So they don't last. Not sure till I look myself.
