Took the King out to get the parts I needed and for a short 15 mile ride. Observations as follows:

Pros-

It sure is purty!
Ride is decent
Lighter than Old Blue and with the 96" has pretty good power.
Handles well.

Cons-

Stock handlebars suck. Felt like I was having to lean forward to have both hands on. (Mini apes mebbe?)
Needs new mufflers. Too quiet and I miss the rumble. (fishtails would look good and give a better tone)
No tachometer, I like having a tach..
Needs a back rest.
Needs road pegs.
And most important of all, no cig lighter!

Overall a nice bike that just needs some personalizing.

Afternoon Woods!

Glad you got to take it for a ride before Blue hires another Goodfeather/Hitbird

Afternoon Woods, well after a long winter the King is back together and roars to life. No insurance so I can't ride on the warmest day of the year thus far. First impressions of the rock outs is good, it seems quieter than I remember but a long ride at full temperature is needed to properly evaluate .

Which trip is that? Don't remember you saying you took delivery of the camper.
