The RealEstate agent that he used (I know him and he's an idiot) failed to do any of that. Reference was tenants father, no phone contact number, no background check or credit check...essentially, she passed the mirror test. BTW, I had warned the homeowner about using this guy. Lot of people in this whole mess who are being honored today...

I was Tucson for spring break, 95 degrees most days. We come back and it's like 28 this morning. Supposed to get all the way to 50ish though.

I require 3 references, none of whom can be family members, verification of employment, and contact info for previous landlord.


I damn sure will contact all of them.


I also frequently use the phrase, "There are others ahead of you looking at the property.", so they don't think they are the only ones and that negates the possibility if them claiming some sort of bias.
