Cool. I can hear locomotive engines at times, if conditions are right. About 7 miles. I can certainly hear the horns.

Yup. The oil carrier train will stop outside of town. That's only another two blocks. When it starts up and moves you can hear every car clank as it pulls tension.

As kids we wood put a pipe across the tracks and it would make the signals go down. Us rotten kids pissed a lot of people off.
