Sounds like a good system in place.

How does that work during winter with less sunlight?

We have 14 solar panels from Solar City. Same deal as Greg, we rarely ever generate enough solar to sell back, if ever.

Just talked to my sister and saw some pics f the proprty Pop bought. 7.98 acres outside of Live Oak, FL. He is going to get a double wide mobile home put on the property and a concrete RV pad poured (Calling jack!).

We looked into the Tesla roofing tiles. 30k was a bit much. Also want to do a solar water heater booster. Wood save us propane in the summer.

Wonder how well they stand up to the elements.

Panels are supposedly efficient enough to absorb the light that filters through the snow and we have a very good southern exposure, so we get plenty of sun.

Michael Jackson is walking down the beach when he stops in front of this lady that is sunbathing. She shouts at him "Hey, get out of my son"

Stronger than slate or clay. Can be walked on but hard to find an installer that knows how to install the tiles. About 2/3 the cost of a slate roof.

I will probably go with a metal roof and classic panels. I like the idea of a Tesla power cell though. Might look into a solar/hydrogen unit too.
