Busy day today. Flew the plane, bumpy ride. Discovered the architecture of the system will not support what the customer wants it to do. Oooops. Looks like their vendor sold them a line of crap. Probably some crossed information but I have proposed a plan to fix it of course! Just costs more money. I'm certain Stan, Al and Mike won't mind kicking in some more tax dollars.
They were trying to use a laptop to control another computer via touch screen, keyboard and mouse. it won't work. The solution is to remove the laptop, run some USB lines and install a standard keyboard, mouse and touchscreen monitor to do it which is what I suggested today. Could have saved a bunch of money. I was on the phone with their vendor today for two hours and the last thing I told them is that the State Patrol will be returning these laptops for a refund of 160K. They can pay me instead!
Russ, did you see my garage pictures? You were right about the bearing installment. I realize once I got them apart how it was designed. All I had to do was bottom the bearings in the bore and the spacer play was correct.
