What's moldy's name ? He says I should open up the new bearings to check the grease. I'm afraid of screwing them up. I'm going to practice on the old one first !

Maybe I missed something, why did you hook into the spacer?

That's a neat idea, chock on the bench for a wheel holder. I've been putting mine on the tire changer to hold them, works decent.

Obviously, you've got a supervisor !!

Pardon me if you already know this, but going back together, one side needs to go in bottomed first, and it's a different side on some Harleys. Brake disks won't line up right otherwise. I coat the outside of the bearing and the bore it fits into with anti-seize, too, it'll also come out easier when that's done. That bearing tool sure makes it easier, Harley bearings are usually really tight.

Yep, encoder bearing first on each wheel. Front is opposite the rear.

Go in the inside edge with a tiny flat tip screwdriver and just drag it around the center, should lift up easy then.

Most, like this one, have a metal strip on the back side, don't want to bend that, but I have and straightened them out easily. Take it easy, don't force it, and it should come off fine, I've done a lot.

This one wasn't new, end of the road for it.

Then just push it back on with a finger tip, they just pop in place pretty easy.
