evening gents
my buddy's family plays this "spoons" game every Canada Day weekend at their lake lot. it's a big annual event with a big *** trophy that goes to the champion.
they have a huge family gathering and make a tournament schedule where 6 people at a time play, everyone sits at a picnic table and there is a pile of 5 spoons in the middle, always one less spoon than the amount of players. the person that gets four of a kind first grabs his spoon, and the others scramble to get one of the remaining spoons. every round someone gets knocked out.
the final game for the championship is a knock down, drag out war. the person that gets their cards grabs a spoon and throws all the rest so the other players have to scramble to find a spoon. I have personally seen people bloodied fighting for a spoon. doesn't matter if you're eight or eighty, all is fair in spoons and there's a good chance you'll get hurt.
good times
