LOL This aint roughing it buddy. When I was a kid I had to carry a bucket to the spring, fill it up and carry it back to the house for drinking/cooking water. Took my baths in the river until the water got too cold. Then it was stand in a big old washing tub like this after I got too big to be able to sit in it
Still had to heat the water on the wood stove for baths
I guess so, but we didn't think of it that way at the time. It was just what we did. 4 room shack on up on a slate bank above the river. We did have electricity though!
I ain't complaining Marcus. I spent some of the best times of my life in that old shack. I had the river below to fish and swim and the hills to hunt and trap above. What more could a hillbilly boy need?
