What would the deer in your area be eating during hunting season?
Here they would be munching a lot of acorns right now. Corn if they are where they can get it..

Nice, Tim!
Many don't realize that elk used to be a Plains animal that populated pretty much all of the U.S.

Fields here are mostly canola, wheat, barley, some oats and hay. Not many corn fields.

I was not aware of that. Here, they hide in the thick forested valleys and come to fields to feed. The only time you really see them in fields during the day is Jan/ Feb when they are eating the farmers hay and pissing on them. Then the cows don't eat the hay.

Yep! Several sub-species of elk were in different parts of north America. Even here we had a native elk population I believe were called Roosevelt elk. What they have now are relocated Rocky Mountain elk

Any hemp farms around where you live or hunt? There is a lot of talk around here about the return of industrial hemp as a crop. A lot of folks needing an alternative to growing tobacco.

Loved that show as a kid Larry.
Poor old Jim got to flop in the mud pits with a 20' python while Marlon was standing on the bank shouting "Watch out Jim!"
