Some folks look at professional athletes and the like as if they were the saviors of humanity. What good does a guy who can run fast or throw a ball do for the rest of the world except provide temporary amusement?
In many cases schools seem to have put education on the back burner so they can support sports programs.
EKU has a sports program that is totally in the red as far as the monies spent on it. To what end?

School sports lead to oppertunities for scholarships, my granddson at the wise age of 15 is in the JROTC, why, because he understands that there is potential for scholarships...

Did a definite place and dates ever come about for WS17. If it's gonna be in the mountains, I'd like to start looking at cabins. And would be great if I could reserve my vacation time. Makes it difficult for them to crawfish if I can book early.

Yep ,hope you are, too. The Ultra is 3 years old...longest that I've ever had the same bike.....even going back to the 90's when I used to ride. Just thinking why do I even own a bike. Youngest kid got his StreetGlide a couple months before I got the Ultra, he has 3,000 miles on it. Oldest one probably only put 300 miles on his since March...I should just ride theirs.
