I talked with a guy that spent more money than I could make in two life times, he was at the botom of the barrel, he smartened up and now he is livin large again... if the alcohol don't fawg his brain again he should be Ok...

Yep. I have worked damned hard in my life to get what little I have so I could have something to pass on to my children. Fancy clothes, cars, jewelry and such have never had much appeal for me. Guess that comes from growing up poor...

Some folks look at professional athletes and the like as if they were the saviors of humanity. What good does a guy who can run fast or throw a ball do for the rest of the world except provide temporary amusement?
In many cases schools seem to have put education on the back burner so they can support sports programs.
EKU has a sports program that is totally in the red as far as the monies spent on it. To what end?
