I never had any splitting issues. I think that was where someone used a razor blade to open the wrapping before shipping. My front tire started cupping at about 8K. I probably had another 4K to go on it and I could have gotten 2K on the rear but since I had the cupping I just changed both. I like fresh rubber on the road.

Dave, good to hear from you today. Like I told you, Baby Doll and I were at the Deuce tonight and tipped our bottles to the West.

I think I got 12K out of that set of tires Greg. They were good and I had no complaints other than the cupping deal.

I talked to the guys at Dunlop and came to the conclusion that someone with a box cutter was a little overzealous.

The issue I saw several others post about was the tire splitting across the tread. As if the belt ends weere coming through the rubber.
