TOAK The thread of all knowledge VII
Sportys are 1200cc. I'm a larger type person. 6'3 and about 260lbs. My bike weighs 950lbs dry and with me and my gear heading out on a trip weighs closer to 1300lbs.
Dang Stan! If I get any closer to my motorcycle I'm gonna have to move the wife out and marry it!
Tracy, you're going to love it and you'll even bond closer with Ol Blue now!
Congrats !
MarkII, Heads Up !
It occurred to me that Greg is man of discriminating tastes and any old meatloaf lunch just will not do sir.
I have it from a reliable source that he prefers his 1.5" thick ribeye medium rare, with fresh roasted parmesan asparagus and a small spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette. You'd hate to have him grumbling too early in the process.......

I've never gotten better than 38-39 with normal riding
WoodStock '16™ showed otherwise didn't it?
Ol' Blue ran like **** in those mountains. Not getting enough fuel sure can get you better gas mileage!
i had a sporty that was my first harley, it got around 45, after that an '08 super glide and now my '12 fat boy lo i'm also 6'1 210. my bike before the harleys was a kawasaki 1600 meanstreak, before that it was a kawasaki Z1000 sport bike because i wanted to go fast, before that a honda vtx 1300 and a suzuki 800 before that. i was always filling up the sport bike cause i was always going fast. had it up to 130 on the highway but 160 on a long back road, that was enough. only had it 5 months
Both times riding in Colorado, I got right at 45-50 MPG which isn't bad hauling my fat *** around or even two up. I usually get around 36-38 down here in the flat lands. Even Lou was getting good mileage with his 2032.0cm³.
True dat brother. Just grateful I never had the issues with mine that others have. I may end up going with the Delphi system later on just because.
I don't figger on ever getting rid of my old bike and will ride her until I can't. Although I may well add another to the stable.
Hahahaha.... Now you make me wish I was going to be there !!
