Occasionally. Mostly because of poor materials and construction. I've had to dig up the valve twice. My street is dotted with patches from repairs.

Got some. Pouring it down after the boiling water. Has to sit for an hour.

Same here. If it breaks on the town side of the CC (Curb Connect) the town pays for it. But if its on your side, big bucks.

Same here. If it breaks on the town side of the CC (Curb Connect) the town pays for it. But if its on your side, big bucks.
Exactly. I did mine twice by hand. Dug a hole 5 feet deep and big enough to get 2 men into to fix it. I wasn't gonna pay someone $3000 to do that.
