Grooming the trail will make a very smooth trail for other sledders. You don't have to worry about holes and after awhile, sleds will make moguls. By going out with the first pass, you're creating a smooth base which will freeze flat and you won't be running in the dirt.

Tim do you have your own groomer? Do you do the grooming for free or is it a Club thing? We groom the state bike trails ( near our property ) a couple of times a year but the county owns the groomer and it usually takes all day to get it into good enough condition to use it.

The club owns the groomer. I'm a director of the club and this trail here, myself and the other guy takes care of it. Its all volunteer work.

Hi there, Tim. Looks like the trail work is quite the endeavor....I'd say at minimum a 6 beer project.
