I bet that registered on the earthquake monitoring stations in California. I dropped a considerably smaller cottonwood in the backyard a couple years ago, and a neighbor a couple houses away came over and said it rattled stuff in his house. He wasn't mad, just concerned something bad might have happened. It made quite a thump and broken wood cracking; that redwood must have really woken up the critters nearby.
