Morning all. Post rain report. An iconic landmark fell. In the great redwoods there was a tree you could drive through that was hundreds of years old. It fell. No real local issues that I'm aware of.

 

Mornin Lou! That's a bummer....I think I have seen old photos of that tree.

 

Morning Mark, Lou. Did anyone say why it fell other than old age ?

 

I think the rain may have played a part in the all, Dan.

Schools are on a 2 hour delay here today. Supposed to make to almost 40 degrees today. That should take care of any lingering ice and snow for this round.


Good on ya Markus for getting off the pain meds. I was on some pretty heavy stuff for a while with my back and knees but now all I take is non-narcotic naproxen for my aches and pains and it does pretty well as long as I don't push it.

Saw that on the news this morning Lou. Looked like it had been standing dead for a while and the rains did it in.


Still kinda sad to see it go as there will never be another like it.
