TOAK The thread of all knowledge VII
End of half, Green Bay 14 Giants 6
Hail mary at the end of the half from Rogers (again) added 6 points and a bit of worry to the Giants team, Probably Dallas too.

Evenin Woods! Got the fridge for the basement from my buddy to the house. Adjusted furniture in the basement so the table is not in the way for the fridge door. Watching football and hangin out.
From this day forward the "Hail Mary" pass shall be known as the "Hail Aaron" pass. So shall it be.
Dallas isn't scared, they have a running game. In fact, it's the same one that gashed the Packers for 157 yards the last time they played and it doesn't appear Green Bay has grown a run defense.

Do we need a happy ending story?
I was on pain pills for 6 years for my sciatica. Y'all have heard me mention the pain, the dr visits, pain mgmt and physical therapy visits...etc. Christmas Night, I ran out...a few days early, too. I was not abusing them, per se, as I would not get any buzz or anything from them but I was taking more daily than I was allotted. They just were not working any more plus the docs at the pain clinic had not even checked how tight the muscles were the last 2 visits...it was a quick visit and renewed scrip for percs. Pay the bill, thanks for playing.
BUT....when I went to TX to buy the SUV, I purposely did not take any pain meds with me. I knew if I was close, I would reach for them when the pain flared up. Well, 800 miles from my pill bottle showed me I can just suck it up and take the pain with the help of OTC pain relievers like Excedrin or IB-Broken. So, came back from that trip, used up what I had (in a responsible manner only to manage my pain and not for pleasure). I ran out Christmas night and though I had an appt with my Pain Mgmt clinic later that week, I cancelled it and decided to kick off that **** cold turkey. It has been 2 weeks tonight, which is good but by no means a record and there are some days the sciatica flares up to remind me things could be a little easier with the pills, but they come with a price of escalating dosage, monthly visits (some times with pee tests) and inevitably the same lack of pain relief once my body gets used to what ever new dosage they would give me. Plus, when you have to plan how many pills to pack for a trip to TX, a ride to the mountains, a day at the office....take one before/during/after any event, trip or what have you, it really becomes a burden on your mind.
So far, so good...hope not to need them on a long term basis ever again. Hope if I ever need them on a short term basis that I don't have some "relapse" where I cannot recognize bearable vs unbearable pain.

Maybe.
If they win tonight.
If they stay healthy.
If the Dallas cheerleaders don't distract them.
Other than that, it's in the bag.

Sorry, even with the use of paragraphs I seemed to have rambled back and forth in my though sequences...my apologies
Good to hear Mark! Sometimes getting off of med on your own is a bad thing. Some people think that they know better than the doctors. Not saying you but other people. If you csn keep off of them, even to the next appointment, show the doc and see what he has to day.
They sure distract ME! If they wore less and ran around more, they could rule the world!!
