We are getting some of the leading edge of the storm you're dealing with. Our mountains are looking to get 3 ft. Maybe 10" here in the city overnight. Got about a 1/2" now.

Its a dry snow (fluffy/light) which has little moisture to it. Spring snow which has lots of moisture to it is your heavy wet snow.

That the mountains are getting snow? I suppose so. The ski areas are loving it. Our snowpack is well over 100% across the mountains. It'll be good for the reservoires.
