I was pushing a brush pile up and had a limb fall over the back of the blade of the dozer and down onto a connector. Broke that sucker and all of a sudden I had hydraulic fluid spraying right back into my face. I couldn't get off the dozer and out of the way and couldn't shut the dozer down quick enough to keep from getting a dandy soaking. Glasses and cap saved me from getting in my eyes but I lost about 2 gallons real quick like and I think 80% of it went on me. I was pissed...

Welded up a brush guard out of some pipe I had lying around that afternoon.

Fireproof HYD fluid. Interesting.

We are going to get nailed with rain. 2"-8" of rain by Saturday and the possibility of snow at 1500 feet. Ground is already saturated. Going to be some flooding.

I was lifting a full open top 5 gallon pail of fluid up on the side of a scraper. Bucket slipped and all the oil went right down the front of my shirt and filled my pants. God that day sucked!

Lucky. Many heavy equipment have burned to the ground when that happens.

Maybe if that had occurred to me I would have felt a LOT more lucky Tim!

Last soaking I got was repairing a hid cyl on a picker truck. Put it all together, hooked it up to the truck and tried it out. Worked great one way (out) but wouldn't come back in. Played with the safety valve with the detent and sploosh! Right at the end of the day!

I had drove the dozer back to where I was working and had to walk damn near 1/2 a mile back to the tool shed and truck to get what I needed to even begin to fix it. No spare clothes to change into. Had to call the house and get the wife to bring me some.

Oh yeah, she thought it was hilarious..
