Hey Greg. The doc says she may last for a about 3 more days. She hasn't had food since before Christmas and is not on a feeding tube. All meds except for pain stuff has been discontinued for a few days now.
Thanks for asking buddy
I was using Avast, and seemed like every update slowed it more. Minutes to boot up, could take over a minute to open and load firefox. Tried some others, even slower. Put Panda free version on my recent Win7 build, and it doesn't seem to have any effect on bootup, only a few seconds at worst opening programs the first time.
I've been playing with Linux, running it off a Knoppix boot cd. By default, Iceweasel (that's a Linux browser like Firefox for those that don't know) runs with scripts turned off, and loads way faster than Windows Browsers I've tried - except hdforums, has so many other websites stuff loading with it it chokes with scripts off. Planning to put a full install of Ubuntu on a hard drive, and since that's the one I plan to do all the financial stuff on, will use an antivirus. I liked Win XP, but dealing with Win7 convinced me to start the Linux learning curve.
