My day was OK, got a lot of stuff done.
The black eyed pea story is thus:
During the war of Northern aggression, Union troops pillaged the land, leaving behind only black-eyed peas and greens as animal fodder. Rich in nutrients, these were the humble foods that enabled Southerners to survive. Details of stories differ, but each celebrates a communion of family and friends bound by grateful hearts and renewed hope for good things yet to come. We also eat cornbread to signify gold and collard greens for folding money.

Glad to be home. Think I put about 3 solid hours of work in. Everybody wanted to shoot the breeze. Boss man bought a new Dodge diesel lariat. 66k! Has everything. Redwood harvest must have been good.

Re-Evenin Woods. Had to take a few to feed the young'uns and see the beginning of the Michigan-FSU game. My Noles started strong, then fumbled the punt return?!?!

Been busy taking care of my mom. Dementia taking over and going down hill fast. Been trying to keep her happy or getting xmas. By the time I got her happy, I was 200 + pages back. I just today, got caught up.
