Morning fellers!


Marcus all you need to put that DD6 in, according to my own experience, is some tools, a few cases of beer, a bottle of Jameson's, and some crusty old biker with a hammer and a big socket to bang like hell on that new bearing that goes into the primary case!

You guys are over thinking this..a quick search and here it is

"Remove the main drive gear from the BAKER DD6 gearset/trap door assembly by simply sliding it off the mainshaft. To install the main drive gear into the transmission case use BAKER DRIVETRAIN part number Tool A-56 and follow the directions as described in the Factory Service Manual."

Easy!

I don't know if the '03s gear box changed from the '00s, but we did run into a minor clearance problem with the new gear set. A little work with a grinder wheel on a Dremel tool took care of it.

Tracy and don't forget about "insert tab A into slot F" that they tell you in step 39, that you were s'posed to do in step 17!

Nothing like a BFH to fit a square peg into a round hole!
