Rained most of the day here, temp right around freezing, but the roads didn't ice over. Salt trucks poured it on this morning, one stretch of road sounded like driving on gravel there was so much. Spent a few hours at my daughter's house, and the salt was all gone going home. Complete waste of tons of salt. I expect they'll pour tons more in the morning for rush hour traffic. Might be iced over bad by then, glad I'm finished with commuting.

I'm cooking up some boneless chicken thighs, marinated em, just tossed the bell peppers and onions in the skillet. Gonna have chicken fajita's tonight!!
Christmas night check in.....snuck out to the Garoffice for 5 minutes of quiet solitude. Kids and G'kids were here for gift opening. Enough toys to give you a headstart on opening a daycare center. After an hour or so of chaos, things got a little quiet. With all the toys, the 6 y/o and 2 y/o were off in a corner quietly with a box of crayons and a sheet of stickers decorating two brown cardboard boxes!...There is hope for that generation.
Merry Christmas to all the gents of the Woods persuasion, as well as lurkers of the all knowing and infinitely wise TOAK

thanks Greg, right back a you sir. most relaxing Christmas here since we had kids, first time in 20 years we don't have to do 2 separate dinners, gift openings, or travel 2 or three hours someplace to do them.
