Mick, the wifi extender can allow Al to TOAK from the garage.

 

Hard to see all the Is and Os in there.

 

It also has a hi flow air intake...it is a stage 1 media server

 

David eventually got tired of intermittent signal in the garage and hardwired it from the modem.

 

I did the same thing, Greg. With the exception of my morning TOAK I am hardwired all the time. Wifi is a thing of convenience and I wanted the fastest connections when possible so I also wired in 4 ethernet ports into the basement before the drywall went up

So I figure Al can tee off the line going to the house and hardwire the garage.
I am running wireless on my laptop. Since I don't stream movies or play games on it, it doesn't have to be the fastest thing on the planet.

 

Greg, are you talking about splitting the inbound coax? That won't work. A 2nd router would be considered a separate account. He'd have to split it from the first router to another router/switch/access point. If that's what you meant, then I'll be quiet now.
