Mornin, Marcus. Doing some back reading and a topic that is right in your wheelhouse has come up. Allen needs to get better Wi-Fi in his garage. We have a 'wi-fi' extender (I think that is what it is called) in the bedroom. It is a fair distance from the modem in the TV room and seems to work.
