Ha! Your use of the words Elite and Management do not depict an accurate picture Russ. It's a long story, let me just say that my boss is 20 years my junior with 10% of my experience. Remember I'm in a small division of a larger company.

 

Actually, I'll be gracious and say that he has about 35% of my experience.

Al, that's pretty much it. Here's the real kicker and I didn't realize it initially when I started. This company defines themselves as a manufacturing company and not a sales company.......that's a first for me in my career and really speaks volumes.

 

I think that cheesy grin thing would work....... Ha

 

Apparently they don't realize that they can manufacture all they want....but somebody has to sell it.

 

Sales function is viewed as a necessary evil to get to a manufacturing goal. It's the damnedest thing I've ever experienced.
