TOAK The thread of all knowledge VII
Virtual Heatwave up here at -8 degrees this morning. By the way, this is what cold weather will do to automotive glass on occasion. Mick, I'm going to give you a call for some sage advice, as the fine folks at Ford believe this is an impact result and it is not. There is no sign of impact on this glass whatsoever. That is 1/3 of a three-part rear window directly behind the driver's side. Completely shattered .This truck was purchased new 9 months ago. Bummer.

When that window broke, it sounded like a shotgun going off. I was leaving work at 5 p.m and it was approximately 0 degrees outside. Sarted my truck, put it in reverse to back out of my parking spot. When I put it into drive and began to move forward the glass shattered.
Stan, perfectly coiffed locks, a toothy smile and Norwegian charm. What dealer can argue with you?
Thanks Mick, I also have to Google for any other occurrences of window breaking in Ford F-150s as an issue. My dealer is top-notch, Ford is the problem. My dealer believes they'll have a hell of a time convincing Ford that it was not an impact. We shall see :-)
Stan, if ya have time call the Ford 800 customer number. Explain in detail what happened and tell them it is a visibility issue and you don't want them liable should you have an accident due to lack of visibility.

Maybe you sarted to hard and that's the cause of the breakage?
