Electric branding irons?
We still use fire irons. We use electric de-horner's though. Horses get the freeze brands.

Old school! I'm surprised that the good folks in CA don't pitch a hissy fit over the branding with a hot iron.


Electric de-horner and hot iron branding. Man I can smell it from here! LOL


All my cattle were polled Black Angus. Didn't have to deal with that, thankfully.


Have used nippers on the young ones and once had a Keystone de-horner about 3ft long for the big ones. Man that will get 'em a bellerin'!

True. Mind you its usually a "Hurry up and wait", so you do have time to see how everyone else is dressed.
