There is a Christmas parade in Longmont tonight that I am sure Beth wants to go to but standing in the cold is NOT my idea of weekend fun. We'll see what happens.

Tile on the floors of the basement has been grouted. The contractor doing the tile is good but he is not fast. They were supposed to paint yesterday but since he was still working on the tile that did not occur. He still has to grout the shower. Still hoping for the before Christmas christening of the basement. We'll see how the schedule shakes out.

They are tiling BEFORE painting? I always do it the other way around. Then I don't have to worry about getting paint on the tile.

Grouting the shower shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.

I can't explain it either, Mike. My thinking was the same as yours...paint before stuff is there so there is less to tape off or clean up afterwards...but, hey....I am just the IT guy around here.
