Many years ago, I was at a sales meeting that the East Coast Sales Manager was having.I have never met a bigger idiot!...Anyway, he puts on one of his presentations on team work, blah blah. Bear in mind that I w*rked for a company on straight commission, no bennies, no expenses, nothing..if you sold , you made money, selling Orthopedic implants and misc. ortho eqiuipment.
At one point , he says : " AL, there's no "I" in team!"......My answer : " But, there is in WIN".... Another time, he goes on about planning your goals for the day...put post it notes on your bathroom mirror, your refrigerator, by your coffee , on your dashboard...blah blah. I Must have had a funny look on my face, because he says "Al, you have a problem with that?"....I answered , " Well, If I had a sales force that had to have notes to remind them to sell something, I find a new effin' sales force! Real salesman sell, that's what we do..we don't have to be reminded"
He never did like me!

Morning all!
A brisk 17 degree's this morning with a wisp of sand in the air.
Wisp being the weathermans term, not mine.
Being 68 I had a lot of my friends go to Nam, some, including my best friend didn't make it back.
To this day they say little about it, once in awhile one would have a few to many and get talking about it, usually brought both of us to tears.
Gov't leaders should fight wars, not people, we'd lose a lot less loved ones and friends that way.

hahhaaa...many years ago I won an award for being the leading sales manager nationwide. At the presentation ceremony the VP of General Motors gave me a plaque. I asked how much the plaque cost and told him I would rather have had the cash. He didn't think that was nearly as clever as I did.
