Hey Mark, Tracy.......

 

I guess it is a matter of knowing how to remap the ECM and since most folks don't, Fuel Moto and others sell tuners so we can have a pretty interface with which to do it ourselves. Honestly, the cost of the tuner is about what you'd pay for each tune at the dealership. It is prolly not as good as someone who know what they are doing. It is like using Windows to do stuff versus command line.

 

Brother you would just have to meet Bernie to begin to understand him. Old school biker that collects shovel-heads. He's been working on Harley's for over 35 years and does just about all the club bikes.


I dropped mine off to have the new bars put on it and forgot to leave the key.


Oops..


Got a call the next morning that went something like this..


" I don't know how the hell you mother*****ers expect to do a g*****n thin to a f'n bike if you don't even leave me the g*****n key to the sumbitch!"


I said, "I'm on my way you cantankerous old sumbitch! You need me to bring you some Kotex while I'm at it?"


Silence. Then...


"Bwahaha! Well then get yer *** over here, forget the Kotex, and bring me some beer!"!

 

I'd like to meet Bernie. Sounds like a cool cat

 

He's a character that's for sure. Baker met him briefly when he was up here.
