Quick homeowner question? Do you guys have any experience with the non salt type of whole house water treatment system? Been looking hard at this one. Looked at several similar ones and they seem to work if your water isnt too hard. Thoughts? We dont really want to do a water softener with the salt.

I have no experience with those either, Lou. But I did get my alerting script working in production. Now I can be alerted of problems at work during my free time. Wait...this is not sounding like much of a win for me

Sorry Lou. Don't have a hard water problem around here and we don't even have access to a municipal water supply. The water we use for washing and such is rain water collected in a underground cistern.

Thought of you Mark when I got this email. Still dont understand what its for or what it does?

"Tetracam is proud to introduce our most technologically advanced multispectral platform, the MCAW. The Tetracam MCA camera series has long been the most widely cited instrument in multispectral vegetation studies due to the combination of light weight, ruggedness and user defined replaceable band pass filters. DSCN4878

· The MCAW or macaw as we call it, upgrades the MCA electronics including:
· A full-featured Linux computer system with open source architecture.
· WiFi and USB3 interfaces.
· Large capacity on board SSD storage.
· It can align image planes, extract NDVI bitmaps, and stitch images together into a mosaic at the rate the images are acquired, thanks to its 2GHz quad-core ARM CPU.
· Aligned and registered image sets are saved on internal SSD in Multipage TIF file format.
· Macaw offers an optional upgraded ILS module that also supplies GPS and IMU information, so the instrument is entirely self- contained, except for power input.
· A serial port Linux console interface provides a hardwired control interface and a wireless LAN interface provides services for a variety of clients used by developers: http, ssh, and ftp.

Includes development tools (Eclipse) already installed, and source code for the camera application resident in a development directory. A nearby PC can easily attach to the camera through the MCAW’s wireless hot spot, and using Xming and Putty clients present a GUI for the camera.

In the field, the MACW can be controlled from a tablet or smart phone via any commercial browser. A control tablet computer is included with the product. The browser interface can also be used to show a live video feed from any selected camera in the Array.

Always a $500.00 academic discount! In addition, Tetracam is currently offering an additional $500.00 discount to academic institutions.

The discount can be applied to a new camera purchase, or an electronics upgrade. This offer is good until March 2017. For additional information, visit the Tetracam web site at www.tetracam.com or contact us at sales@tetracam.com.

If you have any questions please call 818-288-4489.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Susan Heinold
