Howdy Greg and Mark.

Looks like we are getting a little rain right now. Maybe that will help put out the forest fires. Nothing like what they had in CA, but we got a few thousand acres that have burned.

The place we rented from is http://ferguson-house.com/index.html They have 3 more properties in town. Good folk and motorcycle friendly. If you are interested in any of the remaining 3 properties, contact Beth at the number on the linked website. Will save you $95 over VBRO. They will let you (god forbid) cancel with 30 days notice with a full refund. Prorated after that, I think depending on their rental success for your time slot. I have never stayed in town before, always a cabin up in the hills. There are hundreds of those available also. Just google Maggie Valley or Waynesville cabins and you can spend hours and days looking for that perfect spot if you like. Also, I have heard from a reliable source, that The Valley Inn is a great place to stay. Small friendly local hotel that appreciates his biker guest. Nothing fancy, but clean. Lighted gazebo, grills and fire pit by the creek to party at at night. I know it's still a ways off, but I am looking forward to seeing you all again and hopefully meet some more!! It's gonna be a blast!!
Hey Baker, just to add a little to what you and I had talked about, be sure to ask about motorcycle accessibility for some of these cabins in and around Maggie Valley. Some of the driveways going into the cabins are pretty squirrelly.
And yes The Valley Inn is an awesome place to stay. Great guy and really appreciates motorcyclist as he used to ride himself.

Yep. That was bad stuff Lou.

This morning it looked like a fog through the hills with all the smoke. A goodly breeze sprang up this afternoon that didn't help, but it did blow the smoke away from my area. Just a very dry time here.
