They get plenty of food down here during the summer and there are a lot of them. It is rare but there have been attacks in the campgrounds.


The DFW knows they are an attraction for tourists and so try not to bother them too much. There is no bear hunting allowed in the Great Smoky Mountains but the time is coming where they are gonna have to thin them out some.
