Never tried that, but I'd give it a shot!

 

I'm assuming you have forced air heat and AC, have your HVAC guy or you add a couple extra returns/feeds to the basement, it will help circulate the cooler air that tends to end up in the basement, or add warm air during the cooler months.
Make sure you have dampers on them to adjust as needed.

Fog light issues solved. Broken wires!!?? Oh well, solder, shrink wrap and tape and they're working (for now). Car is 2 years old with 10,000 miles on it. Quite annoying.
