Had good luck with the Ancra older model 1200# ones, they should be checked after a bit of travel, but work well for the price.
Preloading the front end will help keep the straps attached.
Ratchet ones probably easier?
As long as I'm here..
Anybody have a free program for converting a PDF to Word??

Damn Russ, some times I can't see the forest for the trees! Yes, those damn rocker cover bolts!
Along with my saddle bag guard bars I also got a Stephen King book and 2 DVD's. John Wayne and Robert Mitchum in "El Dorado" and Adam Sandler "The Waterboy". I ripped them both to digital then transferred them to my server. This past week I ran an ethernet cable from my server in the basement to my Comcast router in my office. I had been using another router in the basement as an access point and even with the ethernet from my laptop, through that AP then to the server, it was only operating at 100Mbps. Now going through the Comcast router it is running at 1Gbps and I transferred 2 movies to the server in 33 seconds. 2.1 GB in half a minute! Hot damn!

Greg, same bags. They were already scratched so hoping I don't do any more damage to them without the full wrap around guards but I like this look better, especially with the fatter bars. I just can't use the guard bar bags I got for Christmas unless I can figure a way to stretch them or extend them. I might need to go see my cousint hat does upholstery.
