My experience was bad because of the SSD. The free download installer doesn't have support for the SSD's and my wife's laptop stalled because it thinks the disk is locked, and wouldn't revert to Win 7. I ended up giving her my laptop (identical hardware) that was a dual boot with Win 7 and Ubuntu Linux, then reimaged hers as a 100% Ubuntu only laptop.

OK, Marcus, here we go. Last laptop was operating so slow I thought it died. Ran into a guy today who is really tech knowledgeable, much as our Wood buddy Marcus. He says, install UBUNTU on a USB drive. Use it to boot machine. See how quick it does or does not run. If still slow, bust open computer and look at RAM, either 0 and 1 or 1 and 2. Remove highest number. Boot machine. If still slow, swap where RAM is plugged in. If operating OK get RAM to put into other slot. If not, might be hard disc.
