I think the management company has been doing whatever they wanted to do. I sent them a very terse email today and will follow up with a smilier phone call Tuesday.

Yes. The tubes are tapered slightly and will only go in one way. The step is subtle but you will feel it. A little wiggle/twist (cue Chubby Checkers) will get it past the step.

I think I get more concerned about the base circle and waiting for the lifters to bleed down.

Lifter bleed down can take from 5-45 minutes. As you're turning the rear wheel with your thumb over the spark plug hole, you'll feel the air escaping on the compression stroke. Then you watch as the pushrods stop moving at the same time. That's base circle.

After I put the rockers back on is when I wait for the bleed down correct?
