almost wasn't, had an OH SH*T last night on my bike. Traffic going south was bumper to bumper on a two lane road. I was coming down the road at about 60, i guess out of instinct i looked to me left and saw a road that meets my road, just as i look a car pulls out from between two cars into my lane. Thank God for my ABS brakes, it slowed the bike down so i didn't skid but i had no place to go but into a farm field. Just missed a street sign and went into the field about 100 feet. when i finally stopped i looked to my left and THE car pulled up, rolled his window down and shrugged his shoulders at me while all the other people in the surrounding car were freaking it. I yelled, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU. He rolled his window up and left. People were asking if i was ok. Lucky enough the dirt was dry and hard. I have no idea how i kept the bike up

 

Wow, Dan. Hell of a ride! Glad you came out relatively ok.

 

Glad you are OK, Dan. Had a less scary incident Weds night. Was coming down a road and a UPS truck in front of me that slowed and was turning right, which blocked the view of someone turning left from that same street and across my lane. They pulled out and saw me in time to stop and I swerved but it put a scare in me. No skid marks on the road or my chonies, thankfully!

got back on and rode to work today, figured i just had to thank God and shake it off as a win

 

figures my wife is in California visiting her daughter. all i could think was, who would take care my cat

 

That kind of stuff sure rattles the nerves.

Going to help clean out the fire damage stuff at the in laws cabin. Going to a parade in Commerce City on Monday where my Great Uncle is the grand marshal
