I guess I'm turning into a Luddite in my latter years.
No offense to those that own them, but I just don't like the new motorcycles, cars and trucks, or even tractors. Too damn much electronic crap on them.
Even Ol' Blue has a bit too much to suit me. Stuff like motorcycles has always been a bit expensive, but $350 just to flash and map a tune? Seriously??

... and with all the "distracted" drivers/riders on the road, the more gadgets they have to occupy their concentration just further exacerbates an already tenuous situation with regards to staying safe

Yep and forces you to the dealer for almost any fix at $100+/hr. Last year was the first time I ever bought an extended warranty on anything. 2 yr warranty on Ultra ran out and thought $900 to extend it for 3 years was a safe bet. Any computer glitch will eat that up in a heartbeat.

Cell phones are bad enough, but these vehicles make it even worse. PA still has not passed a handheld device law. I would think the insurance companies would be all over having that law passed.

We had a dumb *** put a jar of vaseline out in front for seabag inspection. They marched us in to the Atlantic ocean and I had to have our guys ready for inspection in a half hour. Although it's now considered politically incorrect, ipaybacks were defintley a bitch.
