Good evening Woodrows.
I have had Ruffed Grouse a time or two in my life. Delicious but like most wild critters taste depends a great deal on what they are eating at the time you take them.
Very challenging shooting to get one around here as they tend to like the thicker areas and come off the ground like a bomb exploding. By the time you realize what it was, they're gone!

Gas station pizza here. It is as bad as it sounds. Ranks right up there with gas station sushi.

If you've ever ran into a Ruffed Grouse nesting in a tree and he/she decides to take off ... D U C K ... They sound like a plane taking off through the trees
