On a continuing note, I do notice a broad invitation to attend the Grillin' and Chillin' at Mike's this weekend was not forthcoming.

Now yer talking. The .45 is an excellent personal protection hand gun.

The increased number of women working as LEOs was another reason for the 9mm temporary popularity. Light, smaller grip, and not so hard on folks that tend not to have strong wrists. Don't get me wrong, it will do the job most of the time, but when you have to deal with some big dude hopped up on PCP or something, it's a little harder to get their attention when they come at you.

The .45 ACP came into use by the military for a similar reason. Up to that point many of the officers were carrying the old Webley .38 and it just wasn't getting it done at all when you had a very determined aggressor wo was willing to die just to get a chance to take yer head off with a sword.

well i have the S&W sdpve. it states it has a 16 mag, but i can only fit 15 in it. but i figure that if i don't hit you with 15, then something is wrong. i bought the springfield loaded 45 just cause i wanted one.
