Taking a trip, mostly around Lake Michigan tomorrow.Starting here in Oshkosh and heading to Milwaukee 90 miles away and getting on the Lake Express Ferry. Motorcycles ride free after Labor Day. But I have to pay $97 for me. Takes 2 1/2 hours to get to Muskegon, Michigan. I have a cousin that I haven't seen in 40+ years and going to visit her and meet her daughter. After a couple days I'm heading north to Mackinaw City on Hwy 31 and spend the night. I'll cross the Mackinac bridge the next day and head back home. Should take about 5 hours or so to travel 300 miles each day. Been wanting to take this trip for quite a while.

Hey Izzo! Travel safe. We'll be on our best behavior so things are easy on you while you are gone.

Sounds like a nice trip, Izzo. But I can't believe you don't want to go through Chicago!
How's your wife?

Wife is doing ok.

Going through Chicago and Gary, Indiana alone doesn't sound like fun. I'll pass.

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the death of The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. I can't help but think he'd still be with us if he had used sunscreen that day....

...because....ya know...it protects from harmful rays.
