Greg, I've looked at those links before and unfortunately it's a little foreign to me. I'm trying to learn more about that stuff. Bought a $35 multimeter about 2 months and can't figure out squat on it.

Wish you lived closer. I'd give you a hand. Stator super easy to diagnose.

Yeah, thanks Lou. Any of you guys would be fantastic neighbors for helping with all things mechanical. Russ could rewire the bike in like 5 minutes, Ken could build me all sorts of new brackets, Lou could rebuild my motor, Tim could fabricate new parts, Greg would inspect them all, and Larry could drive me in the bus when it still doesn't work
